All right, this page is really about that most beautiful of saloon Jags, the Mark II.

Listed here are the smaller saloon models Jaguar produced in the period, including the Mark II proper. The model list brings out the features which distinguish other model Jaguars of the period from the Mark II.

S Type 3442 stypear.jpg (18385 bytes)Larger than Mark II but very similar in shape. Rear quarters in single piece pressing. Rear wheels semi recessed. Front corner indicators.  Independent rear suspension.

A restorer in Taranaki (New Zealand) has discovered  that their project car was the first production S type ever made. LINK
